I was in Vegas from March 5-11 for a seminar that was held at the Rio. Thankfully, the Rio was sold out, so we chose the Four Seasons. My company covered the cost of the Rio's rooms, so we paid the difference of $150 per night, and it was definitely worth it.
There's lots of little touches, like a basket of apples at the check-in desk, and toiletries from L'Occitane in the rooms. Big fluffy robes and slippers are also provided. Room service comes exactly when they say it will. Plus, the Four Seasons is the only hotel I've ever been to where the person who delivers the room service points out that the gratuity is already added into the bill.
The rooms have recently been "refreshed", so there's plasma tv's and new carpeting. We had a problem with our internet connection, and the manager sent up a tray of cookies with a hand-written note of apology. They also removed the fee for the internet from our bill and gave us one free breakfast. This was done voluntarily---what other Vegas hotel would do that?
I also appreciate the calmness of the hotel after a busy day in Vegas. It's like two different worlds--you go thru a door and you're in Mandalay Bay. When you go back thru the door, the quietness surrounds you.
