I stayed at this hotel for two nights, and thoroughly enjoyed my stay! When I first arrived, I was a little skeptical about the location, mainly because there wasn't much around for entertainment and restaurants. However, most things are in close proximity. We went into Georgetown for dinner, and the drive was not bad! The front desk staff was extremely... more

This hotel, though not in the actual downtown area, was only a block from the navy yard metro station, a very quick two minute walk. there is a CVS pharmacy right on the corner, very convenient for getting snacks or other supplies. The staff was excellent, no matter the time of day. Room was clean and well decorated, flat screen... more

Spent five nights here with my wife and two children (ages 5 and 7). The pool is nice (not real warm!) but the hot tub/whirlpool was great! The exercise area is small but wasn't crowded and had a bike and some treadmills with a large-screen TV on the wall. Rooms were new and nice with an empty mini-fridge (not a... more

I almost gave this hotel three stars, but it just scraped into four in my opinion. The rooms are large and nice with a VERY comfy bed, but the location for a tourist trip to DC is a little out of the way - there aren't really any restaurants around the hotel - the local area is dead. HOWEVER, the... more

I am sorry to disagree most of the reviewers here. But I have to point out that one of the front desk staff is terribly rude and irresponsible. STRONGLY not recommend it. more

Stayed 2 nights in mid-Sept 08 to see Nats baseball games plus sightseeing. We were 2 adults in a 3rd floor 'regular' ("low price") room. Here's what you should know: Cons: Mattresses very mushy; not the nice firm hotel type I'm used to! There are NO mirrors in the room, just 2 in the bathroom. The large LCD TV sits... more

This hotel is pretty new, and the room was great. Very clean and new. The exercise room is small, but not crowded. They also had enough computers in the business center so it wasn't busy. The food in the resturant was pretty bad, and there was no continental breakfast. One word about the parking garage - there are no exit... more

My wife and I recently spent a long weekend in DC. We chose the Courtyard based on other Trip Advisor reviews. It’s a fairly new hotel, but the area is still growing. We never felt unsafe since there were always groups of people walking to and from the Metro stop. The rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable, and to... more

I took a group of high school students for three days to tour our Nation's Capitol. We stayed at this hotel and were very impressed by the facility, helpfulness of the staff, and their willingness to accommodate our group's needs. The only disappointment was that there is no complimentary continental breakfast -- though there is a delicious breakfast bar for... more

I really enjoyed my stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Capitol Hill Navy Yard. The room I stayed in had a great view of the new National's Stadium! The accommodations were great and the staff was very cordial and extremely helpful. The only flaw is that this hotel is located in a part of town that is undergoing some major... more
